Monsignor King Outreach Center has no paid staff.  We keep our doors open due to the selfless efforts of our many volunteers.  If you would like to join us in providing shelter for our growing population of homeless folks, then keep on reading.

The shelter at 300 South Woodrow Lane is open every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We also open at any time the temperature drops to 32° and below or climbs to 100° and more.  Doors open at 6:30pm and remain open until 8:00am the following morning.  We serve a light breakfast each morning and an evening meal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

All new Volunteers must attend a brief orientation before volunteering.  There are four shifts each night. If you wish to work from 6:00 to 9:00pm or 9:00pm to 1:00am, sign up for the shift and arrive at the shelter 30 minutes before your shift for orientation.  New Volunteers working the 1:00am to 5:00am or the 5:00am to 8:00am shift must make arrangements to attend orientation prior to signing up by calling Debbie Millican at 940.206.8683. Please review the duties for each shift and then click here to sign up.
